CoreWeave falls as yields, oil and geopolitical tensions weigh
CoreWeave Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) trades lower as a broad rotation hits leveraged high-growth technology shares, with higher Treasury yields, rising crude oil and geopolitical tensions cited.
CoreWeave Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV ) stock traded lower on Wednesday as a broad market rotation hit heavily leveraged, high-growth technology companies.
The decline stems from spiking Treasury yields, rising crude oil prices and ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Nasdaq futures are down 0.36% while S&P 500 futures have gained 0.25%.
Energy Prices And Geopolitical Blockade Crude oil moved toward $86 per barrel on Wednesday, extending gains for a fourth consecutive session.
The rise came as the U.S. and Iran showed no signs of ending conflict or reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
President Donald Trump confirmed the U.S. naval blockade remains in effect, stating there are no ongoing negotiations with Tehran.
According to Trading Economics, the yield on the 10-year U.S.
Treasury note eased below 4.7% on Wednesday.
Yields retreated from recent highs while investors awaited minutes from the Federal Reserve’s July meeting for insights on monetary policy.

Despite a backlog over $100 billion, its upgraded 2026 capital expenditure target of $35 billion to $39 billion leaves valuation vulnerable to rising debt financing costs.
CoreWeave (CRWV) Technical Levels To Watch At $90.78, CRWV is trading 6.9% above its 20-day SMA ($86.04) and 1.7% above its 50-day SMA ($90.47), but it remains 6.7% below its 100-day SMA ($98.61) and 0.6% below its 200-day SMA ($92.57).
That mix often translates into range trading: short-term support is holding up, but longer-term trend pressure still caps upside.
RSI is at 52.46, which is neutral.
The bigger trend flag is the death cross that formed in July (50-day SMA below the 200-day SMA), which can keep sellers active on rebounds until price can reclaim longer-term averages.
Key Resistance: $94.50 Key Support: $91 Zooming out, the stock is well off its 52-week high of $153.20 and above the 52-week low of $60.55, with the most recent swing low occurring in July.
CRWV Price Action: CoreWeave shares were down 3.58% at $89.84 at the time of publication on Wednesday, according to Pro data.
