European session shows firmer futures, weaker dollar and crude

US equity futures are higher in European trading, the dollar index is lower, EUR/USD and GBP/USD are firmer, and WTI and Brent are both down.

US index futures are showing S&P futures up 0.53 percent, Nasdaq futures up 0.52 percent, Dow futures up 0.6 percent, and Russell futures up 1.02 percent.

In currencies, the dollar index is down 0.56 percent.

EUR/USD is up 0.58 percent, GBP/USD is up 0.5 percent, and EUR/GBP is up 0.09 percent.

WTI crude is at 83.71, down 0.42 percent, and Brent crude is at 90.69, down 0.36 percent.

UK volume leaders include Barclays up 0.68 percent, Lloyds Banking Group down 0.2 percent, HSBC up 0.98 percent, BP up 0.27 percent, and AstraZeneca up 0.88 percent.

Continental European volume leaders are UBS up 1.28 percent, Deutsche Telekom down 0.07 percent, Novartis up 0.49 percent, SAP down 0.83 percent, and Nestle down 0.1 percent.
