Samsung hikes chipmaking prices up to 15% for new orders

Samsung has raised prices for some advanced foundry services as AI demand tightens capacity and TSMC remains heavily booked, SF4 prices up 10% to 15% for U.S. and Chinese customers SF5 prices up 10% to 15%, while 8nm rose nearly 10% Samsung's SF4 line in Pyeongtaek has reportedly been running at full capacity since late 2025 AI and HPC are expected to account for more than 30% of Samsung foundry revenue this year Google is reportedly in talks with Samsung for SF4 production, while Samsung has also secured chip work tied to Nvidia, Broadcom, Tesla and Apple Samsung currently holds roughly 7% of global foundry revenue versus more than 70% for TSMC, but tighter industry capacity is giving it significantly more pricing leverage.
