European cash markets end mixed, with Euro Stoxx 50 down 0.95%, DAX down 0.8% and CAC 40 down 0.82%, while FTSE 100 rises 0.07%.

UK volume leaders were BP up 2.68 percent, Lloyds Banking Group down 1.7 percent, Barclays down 2.29 percent, HSBC down 1.07 percent and Shell up 1.76 percent. continental European volume leaders were Deutsche Telekom up 1.66 percent, UBS down 1.1 percent, SAP up 1.63 percent, Nestle up 0.62 percent and Novartis up 1.75 percent.
