Asian equities finish mixed as Nikkei falls and Shanghai rises
Asian cash markets end mixed, with Nikkei 225 down 2.54% and KOSPI down 1.55% while Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite rise 1.53% and 1.61%, respectively.
Asian cash markets finished mixed: the Nikkei 225 closed down 2.54 percent, the Hang Seng closed up 1.53 percent, the Shanghai Composite closed up 1.61 percent, the KOSPI closed down 1.55 percent and the ASX 200 closed down 0.5 percent.
Asian volume leaders were Xiaomi up 1.39 percent, Alibaba up 4.34 percent, Meituan down 2.4 percent, SoftBank Group down 0.95 percent and Mitsubishi UFJ up 0.14 percent.
