S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures slip as WTI rises
US equity index futures trade lower, with S&P 500 down 0.4% and Nasdaq 100 down 0.75%, while WTI rises to 85.47 (+1.15%) and EUR/USD falls 0.07%.
US index futures are showing the S&P down 0.4 percent, Nasdaq down 0.75 percent, Dow down 0.12 percent, and the Russell 2000 down 0.24 percent.
In currencies, the dollar index is up 0.04 percent.
EUR/USD is down 0.07 percent, GBP/USD is down 0.15 percent, and EUR/GBP is up 0.09 percent.
WTI crude is at 85.47, up 1.15 percent, and Brent crude is at 91.64, up 0.85 percent.
In the UK, BP is down 0.63 percent, Lloyds Banking Group is down 0.43 percent, Barclays is down 0.98 percent, HSBC is up 0.21 percent, and Shell is up 0.29 percent.
Continental European volume leaders include Nestle down 2.84 percent, Deutsche Telekom down 0.98 percent, UBS unchanged, Novartis up 0.78 percent, and SAP down 0.31 percent.
