S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures rise as EUR/USD and WTI gain

US index futures show S&P futures up 0.15 percent, Nasdaq futures up 0.51 percent, Dow futures down 0.12 percent, and Russell futures down 0.08 percent.
In currencies, the dollar index is down 0.24 percent, EUR/USD is up 0.22 percent, GBP/USD is up 0.18 percent, and EUR/GBP is up 0.04 percent.
Oil prices have WTI crude at 83.04, up 0.78 percent, and Brent crude at 89.6, up 1.22 percent.
UK volume leaders include Lloyds Banking Group down 0.17 percent, HSBC up 0.67 percent, BP down 0.79 percent, Barclays down 0.73 percent, and GSK up 0.96 percent.
Continental European volume leaders are Nestle down 1.83 percent, Deutsche Telekom down 0.87 percent, UBS down 0.02 percent, SAP down 0.89 percent, and Novartis up 0.29 percent.
