Thrive Capital discloses 904,038 Amazon shares worth $215.5 million
Thrive Capital said in a regulatory filing that it held 904,038 Amazon shares valued at $215.5 million as of June 30, alongside other public positions.
Thrive Capital disclosed that it owned a sizable position in Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN ), putting the stake at roughly $215 million.
The holding signals the venture firm’s continued push to add big public tech names alongside its long-running bets in fast-growing software and AI.

New York City-based Thrive Capital was founded in 2009 and focuses on internet and software investments.
The firm manages more than $50 billion in assets.
In July, a report indicated that Thrive Holdings, the year-old holding company affiliated with Josh Kushner’s Thrive Capital, is in the midst of raising about $2 billion from a group of high-profile investors to expand its AI-driven acquisition strategy.
The financing is expected to include backing from SoftBank, Altimeter Capital, and D1 Capital Partners.
The capital would be used to acquire traditional service businesses and overhaul their operations using artificial intelligence.
Former Disney CEO Bob Iger rejoined the firm in April as an adviser, working with Thrive’s investment staff and portfolio founders.
In February, it was announced that the venture capital firm raised more than $10 billion for a new fund, Thrive X, which targets investments in AI applications, infrastructure, robotics, and life sciences.
