S&P and Nasdaq slip as EUR/USD rises; WTI gains

In currencies, the dollar index is down 0.17 percent.

EUR/USD is up 0.16 percent, GBP/USD is up 0.15 percent, and EUR/GBP is up 0.02 percent.

In oil, WTI crude is at 82.79, up 1.9 percent, and Brent crude is at 88.48, up 1.62 percent.

UK volume leaders: Lloyds Banking Group is down 0.26 percent, HSBC is down 0.08 percent, BP is up 0.48 percent, Barclays is down 0.13 percent, and Shell is up 0.38 percent.
