WTI climbs to 82.23 as U.S. dollar slips

WTI crude trades at 82.23, up 1.21 percent during the European session, while the U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.13 percent and EUR/USD rises 0.13 percent.

In the European session, S&P futures are down 0.02 percent, Nasdaq futures are down 0.11 percent, Dow futures are down 0.04 percent, and Russell futures are down 0.11 percent.

The US Dollar Index is down 0.13 percent.

EUR/USD is up 0.13 percent, GBP/USD is up 0.12 percent, and EUR/GBP is up 0.01 percent.

WTI crude is at 82.23, up 1.21 percent, and Brent crude is at 87.96, up 1.02 percent.

In the UK, Lloyds Banking Group is up 0.09 percent, Barclays is down 0.08 percent, BP is down 1.56 percent, HSBC is down 0.78 percent, and Shell is down 1.04 percent.

For continental Europe, UBS is down 0.37 percent, Deutsche Telekom is up 0.96 percent, Nestle is up 2.54 percent, Novartis is down 0.37 percent, and Sanofi is up 1.34 percent.
