European session: futures firmer, WTI and Brent fall
European-session trading shows S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Dow and Russell futures higher, the dollar index slightly lower, EUR/USD higher, and WTI and Brent crude both down.
In the European session, S&P futures are up 0.17%, Nasdaq futures up 0.05%, Dow futures up 0.23%, and Russell futures up 0.18%.
The US Dollar Index is down 0.09%, EUR/USD is up 0.1%, GBP/USD is down 0.01%, and EUR/GBP is up 0.14%.
WTI crude trades at 81.73, down 1.85%, and Brent crude is at 87.36, down 1.82%.
UK volume leaders include Lloyds Banking Group up 0.87%, Barclays up 0.81%, BP down 1.73%, HSBC up 0.16%, and GSK up 0.38%.
Continental European volume leaders are UBS up 0.18%, Deutsche Telekom up 0.64%, Nestle up 1.56%, Novartis down 0.08%, and SAP up 0.89%.
