In currencies, the dollar index is down 0.03 percent, euro dollar is up 0.02 percent, GBP/USD is down 0.07 percent and EUR/GBP is up 0.11 percent.
In oil, WTI crude is at 81.95, down 1.59 percent and Brent crude is at 87.7, down 1.44 percent.
UK volume leaders: Lloyds Banking Group up 0.78 percent, BP down 1.52 percent, Barclays up 0.83 percent, HSBC up 0.21 percent and GSK down 0.03 percent. continental European volume leaders: UBS up 0.53 percent, Deutsche Telekom up 0.57 percent, Novartis down 0.45 percent, SAP up 0.19 percent and Nestle up 0.73 percent.
