US Secures Critical Minerals From Global Miners

President Trump will convene senior executives from major global miners at the State Department on Aug.

7 to secure supplies of critical minerals for the U.S. and its allies.

Expected participants include Rio Tinto, BHP, Freeport-McMoRan, MP Materials, Energy Fuels and Canadian metals firms.

Sources say the administration plans to announce several commercial deals and memorandums of understanding.
