Airbnb Earnings Prediction Market Preview: What Will Brian Chesky Say?

Airbnb Inc. (NASDAQ: ABNB ) reports second-quarter earnings after the bell today, with the call at 5 p.m.

ET.

Polymarket gives the company a 41% chance of reporting GAAP earnings above $1.25 per share.

Airbnb has topped consensus estimates only once in its last four reports.

The stock closed at $152.49 Wednesday, up about 15% this year.

On Kalshi, traders are betting on which words CEO Brian Chesky and his team will say.

What Kalshi Predicts Airbnb Will Say “World Cup” is at 90%.

The tournament kicked off June 11, inside the quarter, and Airbnb chased it hard: $750 bonuses for some new hosts, free match tickets with select stays, and a Deloitte study projecting $212 million in host earnings.

The July 19 final fell in the third quarter, leaving the tournament almost evenly split between tonight’s results and Airbnb’s forward guidance. “Boutique” trades at 82%.

Airbnb launched its boutique hotel push in May, offering price matching and credits of up to 15%, and Chesky wants hotels to be a meaningfully larger part of the business by year-end. “Take Rate” sits at 75%.

Airbnb guided for its implied take rate to rise slightly this quarter, lifted by a simplified fee structure and insurance programs.

A higher take rate lets revenue outgrow bookings, though investors may ask whether the added fees dent conversion. “Project Hawaii” is at 60%.

That’s the codename Chesky revealed in February for the small internal team told to make finding and booking a home easier.

Airbnb credits the project with helping reaccelerate growth and generating hundreds of millions of dollars in additional revenue. "Service Agent" trades at 56%.

Airbnb’s AI support product handled more than 40% of routed issues without a human last quarter.

Chesky called it an "AI Assistant" in May, but used terms including "AI agent" and "customer service agent" on the February call, making the exact wording plausible.

What Kalshi Predicts Airbnb Will Skip "Home Sharing" trades at 43%.

Chesky has used the exact phrase on two of Airbnb’s past four earnings calls, yet it remains an underdog to appear again. “Social Media” sits at 37%.

Chesky has spent the past year pitching Airbnb as “kind of like a social network in the real world,” but the contract requires the different phrase. “Delta” trades at 34%.

Airbnb expanded its SkyMiles partnership with Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL ) in May.

Traders doubt the airline earns a mention. “Holiday” props up the board at 21%.

August calls belong to summer travel and third-quarter guidance, and holiday talk usually waits until later in the year.

The Number That Matters Kalshi traders have Nights and Seats Booked, Airbnb’s volume metric covering stays and experiences net of cancellations, at a coin flip around 147 million, and just 23% to clear 148 million.

The World Cup likely gave bookings a temporary boost.

Analysts reportedly want to know how much growth is left once it ends, and whether the third quarter stays strong after the final.

Airbnb is targeting low to mid teens revenue growth for the full year.

Chesky’s script is mostly priced.

The 147 million threshold and the durability of Airbnb’s World Cup momentum are not.
