Arista Networks, Inc. (NYSE: ANET ) stock climbed in Wednesday’s premarket session after the company reported second-quarter results that topped Wall Street expectations and issued third-quarter guidance above analyst estimates.

Earnings Snapshot Second-quarter revenue rose 37.7% year over year to a record $3.04 billion, surpassing the Street consensus estimate of $2.82 billion, according to Pro.

The results were driven by strong demand for AI networking and enterprise infrastructure, marking the company’s first quarterly revenue above $3 billion.

International revenue increased to $697.8 million, accounting for 23% of total revenue, up from 15.5% in the first quarter, reflecting broad-based global demand.

Deferred revenue rose sequentially to $6.9 billion from $6.2 billion, primarily due to higher product-related deferred revenue.

Gross margin narrowed to 63.4% from 65.6% a year earlier because of customer mix.

Operating income reached $1.5 billion, representing a 49.9% operating margin.

Adjusted earnings were $1.02 per share, beating the Street estimate of 89 cents per share.

Arista ended the quarter with $13.3 billion in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities.

Operating cash flow totaled $1.1 billion, supported by strong profitability and higher deferred revenue.

AI Networking Business Continues To Expand Arista said demand for its AI networking products continued to accelerate during the quarter.

Its EtherLynx switching platform has now been deployed by more than 100 cumulative customers, up from just four to five customers in 2024.

The company also introduced its 7060X E7 switch platform, featuring 100-terabit capacity, 1.6-terabit throughput and liquid-cooling capabilities designed for AI infrastructure.

Arista highlighted several software innovations aimed at AI networking, including Smart System Upgrade for non-disruptive software updates, Multipath Reliable Connection technology to optimize AI workload traffic, and SRv6-based routing for dynamic AI fabric balancing and congestion management.

The company said its multi-year purchase commitments nearly tripled year over year to approximately $9.7 billion from $3.6 billion, largely reflecting chip procurement for AI deployments and upcoming product launches.

Arista also said it has secured memory supply visibility through 2027 across DDR4, DDR5 and NAND, reducing supply chain risk.

Outlook Arista expects third-quarter revenue of approximately $3.3 billion, above the Street estimate of $2.94 billion, according to Pro.

The company forecast adjusted earnings of $1.06 to $1.08 per share, ahead of the consensus estimate of 91 cents.

The company raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook for the third time to $12.6 billion, above the Street estimate of $11.6 billion and up from its previous forecast of $11.5 billion.

The new guidance implies approximately 40% year-over-year revenue growth.

Arista maintained its full-year gross margin guidance of 62% to 64% and increased its operating margin outlook to 48% to 49%.

The company expects AI fabric revenue to reach at least $3.5 billion in 2026, while campus networking revenue is projected to exceed $1.25 billion.

Looking further ahead, Arista estimates the AI scale-out networking market could grow to $15 billion to $20 billion by 2030, supported by its 7800 AI spine platform and advanced routing technologies.

ANET Price Action: Arista Networks shares were up 14.86% at $218.82 during premarket trading on Wednesday.
