Sony's film earns $927M globally on opening weekend
SONY DIS Sony’s (SONY) Spider-Man: Brand New Day delivered the biggest movie opening of 2026 and one of the strongest debuts in Hollywood history.
The superhero film generated $355M in domestic ticket sales during its opening weekend, more than doubling the previous 2026 record set by The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
It also earned $572M internationally, bringing its global debut to $927M.
