PayPal Holdings shares are showing limited movement.

Where is PYPL stock headed? What Catalyst Is Driving PayPal’s Q2 Momentum? PayPal this week posted second-quarter results ahead of expectations and lifted its full-year outlook, with revenue up 5% to $8.68 billion and non-GAAP EPS of $1.38 topping the $8.47 billion and $1.28 consensus marks.

Management also raised FY guidance to around $15.6 billion in transaction margin dollars and about $5.38 in non-GAAP EPS.

PayPal’s second-quarter operating cadence helped validate the "turnaround" narrative, with Venmo TPV up 14% YoY, PSP volumes up 13% YoY, and transaction margin at 44.9% versus Needham’s 44.1% estimate.

Monthly active accounts also rose 1% YoY to 228 million even as total active accounts stayed flat at 439 million.

PayPal’s guidance tone is landing alongside a more cautious near-term EPS setup, with the company expecting third-quarter adjusted earnings to decline by a low-single-digit percentage even after lifting FY26 adjusted EPS to about $5.38.

Critical Technical Levels To Watch For PYPL Despite Friday’s dip, the stock is still in a strong intermediate uptrend: it’s trading 8.2% above the 20-day SMA ($52.93) and about 9.9% above the 200-day SMA ($52.13), with the 20-day SMA above the 50-day SMA (a bullish crossover).

The longer lens is more mixed because the 50-day SMA ($47.05) remains below the 200-day SMA, a reminder that the bigger trend has been repairing rather than fully reset.

Momentum looks stretched, with RSI at 72.57 after entering overbought territory in July, which often lines up with choppier price action or pullbacks even when the trend is still up.

RSI is essentially a "how stretched is the move" gauge, and readings above 70 can mean buyers are getting crowded in the short run.

Key Resistance: $57.50 — a nearby pivot/round-number area where upside attempts can stall given how close price is to this level Key Support: $55.00 — a nearby round-number zone that can attract dip-buyers if the stock cools off from overbought momentum PayPal Edge Rankings: Strengths and Weaknesses Below is the Edge scorecard for PayPal Holdings, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses compared to the broader market: Momentum: Neutral (Score: 39.03) — The recent rebound is real, but the score suggests it’s not yet a clear market leader on trend strength.

Quality: Neutral (Score: 51.77) — The fundamentals screen as middle-of-the-pack, putting more weight on execution against guidance.

Value: Strong (Score: 73.81) — The setup screens as relatively attractive on valuation metrics versus many peers.

Growth: Weak (Score: 27.97) — Growth factors are lagging, which can cap upside unless re-acceleration shows up in forward numbers.

The Verdict: PayPal Holdings’s Edge signal reveals a value-tilted profile with middling momentum and quality, but weaker growth characteristics.

For longer-term bulls, that often means the chart needs to keep holding key supports while fundamentals prove the turnaround can translate into steadier growth.
