Mediators believe a breakthrough is near on reviving the U.S.-Iran Strait of Hormuz agreement, but President Trump has not yet approved the proposal. Pakistan, Egypt and Qatar are seeking to resolve a dispute over whether the existing agreement grants Iran operational control in the strait. Iran and Oman have reportedly accepted the proposal, allowing talks to resume before the 60-day framework expires next month. Trump is expected to decide after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Nothing has been finalized.
