Dow Jumps 350 Points; Coca-Cola Shares Gain On Upbeat Earnings

U.S. stocks traded higher this morning, with the Dow Jones index gaining more than 350 points on Tuesday. Following the market opening Tuesday, the Dow traded up 0.70% to 52,573.32 while the NASDAQ declined 0.69% to 24,759.18. The S&P 500 also fell, dropping, 0.09% to 7,406.76. U.S. stocks traded higher this morning, with the Dow Jones index gaining more than 350 points on Tuesday.

Following the market opening Tuesday, the Dow traded up 0.70% to 52,573.32 while the NASDAQ declined 0.69% to 24,759.18.

The S&P 500 also fell, dropping, 0.09% to 7,406.76.

Leading and Lagging Sectors Consumer staples shares jumped by 3.1% on Tuesday.

In trading on Tuesday, information technology stocks fell by 1.7%.

Top Headline Coca-Cola Co (NYSE: KO ) shares gained around 6% on Tuesday after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results and raised its FY26 EPS guidance.

Coca-Cola reported quarterly earnings of 97 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 93 cents per share.

The company reported quarterly sales of $13.400 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $13.162 billion.

Equities Trading UP C3is Inc (NASDAQ: CISS ) shares shot up 66% to $0.18.

C3is shares dipped 80% on Monday after the company priced a $6 million underwritten public offering.

Shares of INLIF Ltd (NASDAQ: INLF ) got a boost, surging 74% to $5.72.

Wearable Devices Ltd ( NASDAQ: WLDS ) shares were also up, gaining 47% to $4.69.

Equities Trading DOWN Sunpower Inc ( NASDAQ: SPWR ) shares dropped 38% to $0.30 after the company reported preliminary second-quarter results.

Shares of Enlivex Ltd ( NASDAQ: ENLV ) were down 38% to $2.64 after announcing a $400,000,000 private placement.

AiRWA Inc (NASDAQ: YYAI ) was down, falling 41% to $1.77.

The company recently announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Hongkong Best Life Trade Co.

Commodities In commodity news, oil traded down 2.2% to $80.80 while gold traded down 1.2% at $4,029.10.

Silver traded down 2% to $57.53 on Tuesday, while copper fell 0.9% to $6.3205.

Euro zone European shares were mixed today.

The eurozone’s STOXX 600 fell 0.1%, while Spain’s IBEX 35 Index slipped 0.1% London’s FTSE 100 rose 0.3%, Germany’s DAX fell 0.1%, while France’s CAC 40 gained 0.1%.

Asia Pacific Markets Asian markets closed mostly lower on Tuesday, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 dipping 3.95%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index surging 0.41%, China’s Shanghai Composite declining 1.16% and India’s BSE Sensex slipping 0.09%.

Economics The FHFA house price index rose 0.3% month-over-month in May, compared to a 0.1% decline in April.

The U.S. goods trade deficit shrank to $101.5 billion in June versus a 14-month high of $105.9 billion in the previous month.

U.S. wholesale inventories increased 0.3% month-over-month to $945.9 billion in June, in-line with the revised 0.3% gain in May and higher than market estimates of a 0.2% gain.
