Laura Loomer: 'Propagandized by Russia' — Is MAGA Splitting On Ukraine?

Laura Loomer, one of President Donald Trump’s most loyal allies, spent years minimizing Russia’s invasion and amplifying Russian propaganda to her nearly two million social media followers, once calling Ukraine “a country full of Nazi apologists.” This week, the penny dropped.

Loomer met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Thursday and, in describing an air raid in Kyiv, said, “We have been so propagandized by Russia, and we don’t even realize it.” Even Trump shared her Zelenskyy interview on Truth Social, captioning it “Very Good!!!” Her pivot reportedly mirrors Trump’s own softening on Ukraine, which has included agreeing that Kyiv may produce Patriot missiles for its defense.

Loomer’s conversion is, perhaps, part of a broader realignment among Trump’s MAGA supporters.

Controversial podcast host Tim Pool, who once called Ukraine an enemy of the U.S., posted Friday that Ukraine “has been fighting for their very existence against an evil dictator.” Geopolitics expert Ian Bremmer took note of the pattern in a reply to Pool’s account, asking, “Why are so many people suddenly flipping their long-held Russia-Ukraine views?” What Polymarket Says The market “Ukraine signs peace deal with Russia before 2027?” currently trades at roughly 24% Yes on over $2.4 million in volume.

A separate ceasefire timing market assigns about a 37% chance of a mutually agreed ceasefire by December 31.

The year-end optimism may reflect Russia’s mounting economic pain.

Ukrainian drone strikes reportedly knocked out roughly 10% of the logistics capacity of Wildberries, Russia’s equivalent of Amazon, with seller losses estimated near $1.9 billion, while a sustained campaign against refineries has caused fuel lines across the country.

While Loomer was in Kyiv, Zelenskyy said he met a Raytheon delegation to discuss jointly producing Patriot interceptors in Ukraine.

Trump reportedly promised Kyiv a production license three weeks ago.

Raytheon has not commented.

Demand for Patriot interceptors reportedly far exceeds what the company can currently build, so a Ukrainian production line may add sales it could not otherwise serve, while deepening Kyiv’s reliance on RTX radars, parts and servicing.

RTX shares jumped over 7% Thursday on a strong earnings beat and raised guidance, and Morgan Stanley analyst Kristine Liwag lifted her price target to $240 from $220, citing a record $289 billion backlog.
