NVDA NVIDIA AND KAIST LAUNCH $300 MILLION AI LAB IN SOUTH KOREA NVDA and KAIST have launched a joint AI research lab in Seoul focused on agentic models for the Korean language and local industries. The initial five-year collaboration includes $50 million per year in compute through local Nvidia Cloud Partners. The lab will use Nemotron open models, fund at least 10 KAIST researchers annually, and provide each with internship opportunities at Nvidia. The goal is to move Korea-focused AI research from academia into enterprise and national deployments. KAIST says it is Nvidia’s first joint AI research lab with a university in Asia.
