Week Ahead: 20 - 24 July 2026 Germany Dominates a Lighter Global Supply Calendar as Treasury Auctions Return Global sovereign bond issuance moderates considerably in the week ahead, with issuance concentrated in Germany and the US. Eurozone sovereign supply falls sharply from last week's heavy calendar to around EUR 8bn, while the US Treasury returns with USD 34bn of duration issuance across a 20-year reopening and a new 10-year TIPS auction. The UK Debt Management Office will issue approximately GBP 6bn, alongside the Bank of England's continued quantitative tightening operations. The substantially lighter European calendar, combined with modest issuance elsewhere, should provide a more supportive technical backdrop for global government bond markets than seen in recent weeks.
