Closing Bell Movers: JB Hunt up 8% after Q2 earnings beat

Rapid momentum shifts in the Tech ecosystem continued to dominate headlines on Wednesday, with broad-based selling in the semiconductor, chip equipment, and memory names being offset by renewed strength among the hyperscalers. Six of the seven MAG-7 names were up and five of them gained 3% or better. Apple (AAPL) was the standout as it hit record highs above $325 per share, though Meta ( META) was also notable as the stock's 3% jump drove shares to their highest levels since early the company sold off sharply after earnings in April. Nvidia (NVDA) was only marginally higher while Tesla (TSLA) ended the day in the red. Utilities was the worst performing sector in the S&P 500, while Communication Services - dominated by Alphabet (GOOGL) - was the best sector. In the opening hour of the evening session, equity indices are flat. In commodities, WTI Crude Oil advance has slowed, but the contract has still topped the $80 per barrel level with no signs of easing tensions in the standoff between U.S. and Iran. Check out this evening's top movers from around Wall Street, compiled. HIGHER AFTER EARNINGS - J.B. Hunt Transport Services (JBHT) up 7.7% Home BancShares (HOMB) up 2.4% DOWN AFTER.
