"CENTCOM launched precision munitions against coastal defense systems and cruise missile storage and launch sites on Greater Tunb Island during the 90-minute wave," it said in a post on X. "The strikes further degraded Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz," it added. Over 30 civilians have died and about 260 have been injured in the recent US strikes on southern Iran, Al Jazeera reported, citing Iranian officials.
