Sector Update: Consumer

Consumer stocks were edging higher pre-bell Wednesday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) up 0.1% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) advancing by 0.2%. Conagra Brands (CAG) shares were down more than 5% after the company reported a decline in fiscal Q4 adjusted earnings and issued fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS outlook below analysts' expectations.
