VISN Aurora Networks, a Vistance Networks unit, expanded its distributed access footprint at Liberty Puerto Rico with a Remote MACPHY deployment. Liberty installed Aurora’s RD2322 operating as Remote MACPHY in the NC4000 Optical node to support HFC network modernization. The upgrade targets a path to 10G Broadband and DOCSIS 4.0, aiming for lower latency and improved peak-time performance. Liberty also expects a smaller infrastructure footprint and lower energy use across operating sites
