The US Justice Department recently sent civil investigative demands, which are similar to subpoenas, to lawyers for a group of hospitals and doctor groups suing Claritev (CTEV) for alleged antitrust violations, The lawsuits accuse the healthcare technology firm of conspiring with UnitedHealth Group (UNH), CVS Health's (CVS) Aetna and Cigna Group (CI) and other health insurers to lower reimbursements for out-of-network services, the report said.
