India's Wholesale Inflation Quickens to 9.87% in June

India's annual wholesale price index (WPI)-based inflation rate rose to 9.87% year over year in June, according to data from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry released Tuesday. The reading was higher than the consensus forecast of 9.15% tracked by Investing.com and compared with the 9.68% pace recorded in the prior month. The latest print marked the highest since September 2022.
