Quantum Leap: Bell Canada enters quantum MOU with Canadian university

Welcome to the latest edition of "Quantum Leap" where decodes news and activity in the quantum computing space. QUANTUM MOU: Bell Canada (BCE) and the Universite de Sherbrooke, or UdeS, signed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, to collaborate on quantum technologies, post-quantum cybersecurity, and sustainable data center infrastructure. The agreement builds on Bell's ongoing work to advance sovereign compute capacity and support the development and deployment of AI at scale in Canada through Bell AI Fabric. As part of this collaboration, Bell and UdeS will also partner with Queen's University to explore approaches to link the national high-performance computing environment with frontier quantum capabilities to support Canadian research, enterprise and public sector applications. CODEVELOPMENT PACT: Sealsq (LAES) and GlobalFoundries (GFS) announced a strategic memorandum of understanding to co-develop across secure semiconductor platforms, post-quantum cryptography, or PQC, and emerging semiconductor-based quantum computing technologies. The partnership leverages GF's process technology and manufacturing capabilities alongside Sealsq's expertise in hardware-based certified.
