Robinhood Markets stock is charging ahead with explosive momentum.

What’s behind HOOD gains? What Is Driving Robinhood’s Crypto Expansion? Robinhood laid out its biggest crypto and DeFi expansion yet, including plans for a public Layer-2 blockchain built on Arbitrum, tokenized U.S. stock trading, decentralized lending, AI-powered crypto trading, and new perpetual futures offerings.

The rollout was introduced at a London event on July 1 and is framed as part of a global growth strategy aimed at bridging traditional finance and crypto.

Robinhood is also pitching a lower-friction on-ramp for active crypto traders, with maker order types that can reduce fees to as low as 0% based on trading volume.

On the DeFi side, the company is rolling out Robinhood Earn with an estimated 7% APY for lending USDG stablecoins via self-custody wallets.

Robinhood’s product burst has also been getting incremental help from the Street, with Mizuho lifting its price forecast to $130 from $115 while keeping an Outperform rating.

HOOD Stock: Key Technical Levels To Watch HOOD is extended above its key trend gauges, trading 18.7% above the 20-day SMA ($98.51) and 34.2% above the 50-day SMA ($87.16), which tells you the intermediate trend is still pointed up even after prior volatility.

It’s also 14.2% above the 200-day SMA ($102.37), a level that often acts like a "line in the sand" for longer-term trend followers.

Momentum looks constructive: MACD is above its signal line and the histogram is positive, which typically signals that upside pressure is building versus the prior downswing.

In plain English, that MACD setup suggests buyers are gaining control even if the stock can still see sharp pullbacks.

The moving-average picture is a bit mixed under the surface because the 50-day SMA is still below the 200-day SMA (a death cross that occurred in February), even though the 20-day SMA is above the 50-day SMA (bullish).

That combination often shows up in strong rebounds that are still "repairing" longer-term damage, so follow-through matters.

Key Resistance: $124.00 — a nearby round-number/pivot area where the current rebound can stall Key Support: $114.00 — a nearby pivot zone that can act as the first spot buyers defend on a pullback What Is Robinhood Markets and Its Business Model? Robinhood is a diversified financial services provider best known for its retail brokerage platform, which historically caters to a young, risk-seeking clientele that trades heavily on margin and in higher-risk asset classes like options, futures, cryptocurrencies, and more recently, in prediction markets.

As those customers’ financial needs have begun to mature, Robinhood has rolled out a suite of more conventional products, from retirement accounts to high-yield cash sweep accounts to nascent advisory services (Robinhood Strategies).

With $322 billion in customer assets and 27 million active accounts at year-end 2025, the firm has emerged as a meaningful player in the large, fast-growing U.S. brokerage market.

That’s why the new push into tokenized stocks, DeFi lending and AI-enabled trading matters: it’s an attempt to widen the product moat and keep power users on-platform as crypto market activity cycles.
