Engie Bags 30-year Concession for Power Transmission Projects in Peru
Engie (ENGI.PA) said Thursday it secured a 30-year concession for four power transmission projects in Peru, with investments worth $230 million in total. The French utility won the contract through a ProInversión-promoted auction process. As part of the public-private partnership project, the company will construct more than 400 kilometers of transmission lines, develop six substations and expand 10 existing substations. Commercial operation on the projects is expected to start in 2031.
