US-Iran Peace Talks by Month End? Crypto Prediction Market Odds Rise After Trump Says Iranian Leaders 'Want to Meet'

Cryptocurrency bettors raised the odds of U.S.-Iran peace talks by the end of the month after President Donald Trump signaled Tehran’s willingness to negotiate amid heightened tensions. Odds Increase Over 24 Hours Polygon (CRYPTO: POL) -based Polyamarket currently assigns a 25% chance of the next round of talks by July 31, up from 20% the day before. The odds of the talks happening by Aug. 31 were noticeably higher at 50%. Over $6.6 million has been wagered on the outcome. Both sides agreed on a 14-point framework to end the hostilities and extend the ceasefire for 60 days.

However, Trump declared the ceasefire “over” in response to alleged Iranian “unjustified” attacks against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump also abandoned plans of imposing a 20% fee on all vessels traveling through the Strait of Hormuz after floating the idea earlier in the week.

Central Command announced it had launched a second round of strikes against Iranian military targets on Wednesday.
